could the taliban see them lights or do they only show up in night vision goggles?
-
@gunner4usmc they are so that pilots can see who the friendlies are and who isn't, and they don't glow or illuminate, and when US or British troops turn on their night vision, they also are able to see it. :)

Just curious, but why are these Brit troops wearing chem lights on their helmets while engaging at night? Aside from locating the man in front of you, they make excellent targets for the bad guys if you turn your head or take off your 'brain bucket'. Is this SOP for Brit troops engaging at night? Scary...

Also, no-one I know (I'm from the UK) has anything against the US troops, they are ALL doing the best job they can, in a situation that a lot of people don't agree with.
If you're not a supporter of the war, it doesn't mean you are against the troops, anyway, why worry what people say, surely the fact that Britain has committed troops to "war on terror" since 9/11 should count for something, no?
