Nana2Livi2 Thanks for standing against the thugs and doing your job. I too had a problem "eon's ago" when as a 17 yr farm boy looking for a city job. I hired on to break down truck trailers. I was raised to give a days work for a days pay. But the local union thugs told me I was working too hard and wanted me to reduce my effort by 50%. Since the trucking company was "closed shop" meaning the union could to pull my union card at day 45. Nonunion owners hated to see me go.

@LechDharma I agree, they are corrupt bureaucratic business unions. I believe in solidarity unionism. Unions controlled by regular rank-and-file workers such as the IWW.

@jackson76724 When was the last time "doctors.lawyers, engineers", or "CEOs" went out on strike, or hired themselves out as "thugs" at townhall meetings? Educated individuals have self-policing PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATIONS---which may also serve to advance their individual special interests---but the price to the consumer of their individual labor is still bound by market forces---unlike a labor union member's.

@jackson76724 WAS there a legitimate, moral need for "labor unions" in America? Of course there WAS: there was no legislation concerning unsafe working conditions, length of the workday/workweek, sexual improprieties, etc. In the second half of the 20th Century, labor laws have addressed ALL those needs. Unions artificially inflate the "actual value" of labor. Public empoyee unions should NEVER have been allowed to form--since they "collectively bargain" AGAINST the taxpayer.
