Noam Chomsky talks about Globalisation at the mn 188 conference. I have no more informations about this great lecture. After the talk there is a O&A session.
@copym3 auxiliary as in just another channel (no official YouTube meaning), well standing as in you don't have any DMCA claims against you, or flags probably. Not too sure, the wikipedia page didn't really specify. As far as asking YouTube, I'm not too sure I'd just try to go through their help center thing or whatever. I've never done it before though.
@fauyd what means "well standing accounts" ? And how can i ask youTube and what means auxiliary? thanks a lot for the help! i also tryed it many times but never found anything that help ^^
@copym3 I just read the youtube wikipedia page and it says there is no length limit for well standing accounts. 2 gb is the size cap, 20 gb if you use the new java based uploader (or something). I don't think the videos have to be of yourself because I know some channels that just upload lectures by Chomsky and others (all in a single part), and they're certainly not partners (very low numbers of subs, no original content etcetera). So I would ask YouTube about it, or make an auxiliary channel.
@copym3 I think it is for users who youtube themselves select so there is no application process, per se. There is the partner program for which can be applied. youtube DOT com / partners. And other options if you are part of a charitable or not for profit organisation. Beyond that I think it is a case of waiting to see. Thanks for your channel, I'd rather watch one of your vids than the idiot box any day.
@copym3 It is for a subset of trusted users who have never infringed on guidelines. The implication is that you need to have a reputation with youtube and then it's only by selection. I'm not sure beyond that but it seems they intend to lift it, eventually, for everyone.
@copym3 Yep since December of last year. I noticed a bunch of my subs breaking the 15 min mark (formerly 11 min) and didn't think that many could be becoming partners so I googled it a while ago.
