Fred Kemmerer
Executive Vice President and CTO

Fred C. Kemmerer is an experienced telecommunications executive with a broad background in a variety of communications technologies. As the chief technology officer (CTO), Kemmerer is responsible for setting the strategic technical direction for the company. Prior to GENBAND, Kemmerer held a broad range of positions at Lucent and then Alcatel-Lucent. Most recently, he held the position of technical compliance officer, where he was responsible for providing technical guidance and consulting with multiple U.S. Government Agencies on matters related to current and next generation communications network architecture and security. Kemmerer also held the position of vice president of strategy and business development where he led the strategic and portfolio planning processes for the company. Prior to that, Kemmerer held key VP and GM positions across various data networking divisions and key leadership positions in the development of fixed and mobile communications technologies. Kemmerer holds a masters degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and a bachelors degree from Pennsylvania State University, where he studied Electrical Engineering.
