ELEMENT12000: there is nothing to be proud about here. its just sand and ieds and mortar rounds with the occasional sound of an ak with some rockets. why the hell would you want to enlist? you probably one of those kids who seeks thrill and thinks it would be fun. it isnt. I cant sleep, its ruining my marriage, and you dont get a day off. i thought it would of been great until i got hit with my first ied. then it sinks in. this is hell. you really want to come visit?

I deploy in June....I'm going to miss my husband and daughter SO much!!! Why are we still over there??? I don't know, but I'm going to do everything in my power to defend our freedom...I just pray my little girl never has to grow up without her mother...Please keep us all in your prayers!!

@sj99338 Just keep thinking of them and you will be with them again in no time. I get to take a trip to Afgan in 2014 with my detachment and im going to miss my family so much. But just think, only a little longer, then youll be back. Im rooting for you guys!
