  • @2009Ubuntu I'd still run something like ClamAV, there are plenty of viruses for Linux, unlike what people want to believe (I do say apple is to blame for that one).

  • @Anon5K i use Mcafee ive never had a virus :P

  • Comodo is in my opinion the anti virus to date that will protect you . they have automatic sandbox !

    read about it on google

  • Eset Nod.

  • Every Anti-virus slows down your computer, it may be a little or a lot but I guarantee whatever Anti-Virus your running slowed down your computer some what. I been using Kaspersky Internet Security for several years now and never had any problems. Everything is fast, and I configured Kaspersky for maximum protection and everything runs good. My computer isn't a high end computer either its decent. After I installed it, there was a minor slow down, but thats to be expected from any Anti-Virus.

  • I use Microsoft Security Essentials and Malwarebytes together; they are pro! I also have Spybot S&D for anti-spyware/adware type things. Never had a problem since, and all of them were free!

  • NOD32 and Smart Security Best !

  • I've been happy with Vipre. I loved TrendMicro2005, but have hated subsequent versions. Kaspersky is good but overpriced. AVG is free and effective.

  • @Anon5K my mc afee is fine why is it bad?

  • ... about SSH - secure shell host - i didn't actually get what you mean. If it is possible to hack an SSH passphrase ? yes, it is. but if you configure your ssh server correctly, it gets pretty close to impossible. Using a 4096 bit key to encrypt your password, set SELinux to deny root acess to SSH server and configure IPTables correctly. Linux is and will ever be virus safe. You folks google for 'what is selinux' and you'll get what I mean :)
