This is awesome. I never knew about or saw this statue at DIA. I live in Colorado and have flown in and out of DIA many times and never saw this. Now I'm going to have to go looking for it!

@IMA60SKID Actually, Anpu (Anubis) was not the "god of death." He was considered to be the god who would guide the souls of the newly departed to the afterlife. So, not really a god of death, per se. More like a "psychopomp" or guide. He was considered to be very benevolent.

@datzfast respecting other people's cultures, religions, even the people themselves is something very lacking in most people's social understandings. That's why we have so much war and contention. It begins at home. So I would say to you... GROW UP and learn to respect the fact that because something "belongs" to other people is the REASON you should respect it. It has nothing to do with force. Be careful who you call a "fool". Respect does not necessarily mean acceptance.
