little fiddle 1/8 size~Hillar Bergman...fiddler

Here's a little 1/8 size Suzuki violin (fiddle) and I'm scraping out "Sailor's Hornpipe" on it. The neck of this fiddle is only about as thick as my pinkie finger. It's such a small fiddle it fits in my hat.
I just downloaded Quicktime Pro and wanted to see if there was indeed much of a video quality difference using H.264 and an iSight camera. So far, it seems there is. I'm typing this before I upload this video clip and am anxious to see how it looks streaming. More videos will follow and I'll try to do a better job of fiddling. Thanks for viewing.
Note: after uploading and viewing this, I now realize that the camera i was using distorted the perspective and size from where I was sitting & trying to monitor the video as it was recording.

i play fiddle too ... could you tell me where i could find the notes to the sailor's hornpipe you just played (or better yet the notes to the "popeye theme.") i can't seem to find it anywhere. nice playing!!

It might make good representation of the small size of the fiddle if you put it up next to your 4/4 fiddle. Try holding both up at the same time next to each other. That might work. Neat fiddle. I know a 90 year old lady that makes fiddles and also makes 1/8 2/3

Good suggestion. I didn't think of that before filming. While making the video clip and looking at the monitor screen the perspective was distorted.

The difference between a fiddle and violin is how the person plays it!!! This little one is awesome and that Mr. Bergman can play it as well as his uniform sized one, is amazing!!

that's amazing that you can get your hand to find the notes on that fingerboard. You should not mention it's 1/8 in future videos. make people think you're 13 feet tal or something!
