Intended for Park University CS151 students, this tutorial will help you navigate the installation of TextPad to your PC. It is NOT intended to replace the entire tutorial, but rather to act as a supplement. The video quality can be slightly improved by setting the video to the maximum allowable number of pixels (lower right corner of the YouTube video controls ).

  • What if the "Java SDK Commands" thing didn't show up under add?

  • @ReloadedProductions Whoops! I should've specified..."Watch the FIRST video, TextPad Tutorial Part I, until the end..." That's where I paste the address in my DLL.

  • @ParkUniversityACM I'm running window 7 and I did install the JDK first.

  • @ReloadedProductions Did you paste the link to your DLL?

  • @ParkUniversityACM I didn't think I would need to because I didn't get the error message

  • @ReloadedProductions I wouldn't think so either, but if the commands aren't showing up, I don't know what else to tell you. Let me know if you find a solution, I'm interested in seeing what went wrong...

  • im having a problem with TextPad when i type in " class ClassName" and save it as ClassName.java textpad wont change the color of the letters. does anyone have a solution to that?

  • @ParkUniversityACM that totally solved my installation problem! Thanks!

  • for some reason tools are not showing up and i cant expand the folder that has the tools. Do you know how to fix that?

  • @ReloadedProductions See the previous comments to BriceOnIce on this chat-board. If you installed Textpad before installing JDK, they might not appear. And, if you are running Windows 7 64-bit, they may not appear. Watch the video until the end, where I add the address to my Dynamic Link Library. If you still can't get it to work, let me know what OS you are running, I'll see what I can find out. Good luck!
