if im using a flood and drain how long should i leave the pots submerged at one time? 3 times a day right? but how long? or just instant flood then imediate drain? please reply someone

it depends on your media if you use media like mine then every 4 or 5 hours in the day light, no flood needed at night

OK here goes. The reason the plants are looking a bit stretched is because the light bulb should have been a Metal Halide bulb which you can use in your HPS ballast no problem but not the other way around. HPS bulb should only be used for the flowering stage. MH bulbs put out a lot of blue spectrum light for the vegetation stage and this will ensure that your plants are very strong and very bushy. Curing, to me, is more important than growing...because it doesnt matter how badass your seeds are or how badas your plants are if they are not properly cured...THC is only psychoactive after it has been cured...let dry for 2 weeks somewhere dark and dry, then place in jars or tupperware and seal shut...then everyday, you come and open the jars for 5 to 10 minutes to release a little moisture, then close and repeat everyday for about 4 weeks or longer. The more patient you are, the better!

@anDREWps3085 Yep...you sound like you've got the hang of it man. The biggest thing is to keep your nutes on a strict schedule and make sure that you check the ph AT LEAST 3 times a week. I've never used the cubes but I've never heard not to use them either, so I would suspect they'll do just fine. And the growth will come just from having the hydro system. Just make sure the 2nd to last week of veg, you only feed them distilled water to flush. And do proper research on curing...cont.....vv

@Deciblaster alright cool for the info I'm gonna add you. so i want to use a DWC/bubble & aeroponics but instead of using clay rocks or wool rock i want to use STG mini hail cubes that holds water and air for the roots. if i use organic nutes & check the ph daily or weekly that would keep the taste good and the growth fast, and root space small b/c when you use soil that takes more of space..?

@123ThisLifeIsCrazy No soil in hydro...you need clay pellets or something that wicks moisture...Ive sen people use peat gravel too...if you ask me, if your not too concerned with time, then use organics and go with soil...hydro is a lot of work...well worth it for the speed and everything, just a lot of work...I like to set and forget for a few days

And honestly, if you want the best tasting treezies around...you need to grow in soil and go completely organic...one meal, and blood meal and some fish emulsion or worm castings...thats all you would need other than some foxfarm soil or miracle grow organic choice. But dont use ALL MG soil because the time release nutes are only good for vegging...it will burn your plants when you start flowering...I'v been growing for years, if you have any questions, just send me a message man!

@anDREWps3085 no hydro just makes them grow faster really...you should flush both types of media a week before you harvest anyway...this way you get rid of all the nutes left in our plant before you pick it...You ever smoke that tree that looks awesome and smells great, but it burns the shit out of your throat on a good bong rip? Thats weed that wasn't flushed properly...Also, you can tell if it crackles when you light it, thats ferts burning....eww lol

how mush different is the taste between a soil grown and a hydro. i know the advantage of growing hydro is the increased yeald, but doesn't the soil taste better? is it noticeable?
