Content is not about glitz. That's why respect for elders is not reflected in the phrase "old guy". You must be very young, because you have no curiosity nor any wisdom. That comes with age. It comes with understanding that a lot of folks lie to you. It's about understanding that the most important things are really quite simple. It's about knowing that many who are supposedly "learned" are simply lost in the trees. Watch this guy and gain wisdom.

@TheCoachmom Actually some of those radical far right ultra orthodox people can be frightening. There have been cases in some neighborhoods of them going after tourists they thought were dressed inappropriately, attacking gays, etc. Yigal Amir, the man who assassinated Prime Minister Rabin, I would consider that an act of terror. Baruch Goldstein and others like him are terrorists. Those radicals who praise Goldstein as a hero are no better than those who praise radicals of another type.

@gruntball Exactly. What Prager offers is simple black and white thinking. A lot of simplistic feel good stuff similar to what one would tell a 5 year old to make them feel better.

@TheCoachmom I would have to ask the Palestinians if they are afraid of Jews in dark alleys. I really suspect they are. Since the first intifada Isreali terrorism has killed about 3 Palestinians for every Israeli killed by Palestinian terrorism. If we include the terrible Israeli crimes in Lebanon, Israeli terror wins hands down in the region. People (outside of the U.S.) understand this. With pigs like Prager and his ilk polluting the airwaves, American ignorance is no surprise.

@gruntball You might get kicked out, because you are mouthing what others say. There is no critcal thinking in what you say here. There is no Israeli terrorism in Israel. One of Israel's first prime ministers - Golda Meir - said that we can forgive all the murders our enemies have perpetrated against us. What we can never forgive is them turning us into murderers to keep ourselves alive. Have you ever heard anyone say in fear- walking down a dark alley - "Watch out! Here come some Jews!!"?

An university is about thinking critically --not about repeating mantra you've learned in 5 minutes. We don't need a "sound bite" or "Google" world, we need people who study, think, criticize, challenge. This takes a lot of time. Imagine telling this Prager creep, "Hey, the U.S. should stop supporting Israeli terrorism in the Palestine." I imagine you'd get kick out of Prager U pretty damned quickly. Probably wouldn't get your money back either.

Mr. Hitchens is absolutely correct to inpugn & reject the statements and persons of certain institutional leaders in Christianity to the extent that they have made offensive, baseless & intolerant anti-semetic statements. Christian texts are clear that God loves everyone (the world) & that the first christian church was comprised of Jewish converts & diciples. I carry no brief for Hitchins, but the Apostle Paul said be careful of UR conversation brothers.

I have been a Prager acolyte for about four years. When I first started listening to him, I found myself jumping up and saying, Oh mygosh, thats obvious! Two minutes ago that wasnt obvious, now it is. His ability to make things clear is masterful. You may not agree with him, but you will know exactly why you disagree with him.
