Bugsy Gets Booted --from Pat O'Brien's --(New Orleans)

Bugsy goes to Pat O'Brien's. Anything goes in this town (New Orleans)...but a little toy poodle is just too much.
Pat O's first opened in December 1933...2 days before prohibition was repealed. The bar was originally a speakeasy . In the 1940's the Hurricane drink was created.
Made of 4 ounces of Rum, Passion Fruit Syrup, and Lemon Juice over a glass of crushed ice. Still...no puppies allowed in the outside area. You get the glasses as souveneirs.

Wow...who knew a little poodle video would rub so many people the wrong way? I think it's a cute video and I get the joke...anything goes in New Orleans...but not a cute little dog in a carrying case on a patio that's not bothering anyone. It's a joke people, nothing more. Bugsy rocks....people need to lighten up.

Why would anyone want to carry around a poodle anywhere? Yes, there are codes the restaurants have to uphold, with the exception of seeing-eye dogs. I don't want to eat dinner or have a cocktail next to a poodle! Poodles are closely related to slugs and snails, which is why they are able to do back-flips- they have a soft spine, while real dogs have hard spines. Yikes.... poodles! Just say "no" to poodles!

Scott, yikes to your breed-racist comment. Shame on you, as an owner of 2 boxers to be so hateful for another breed. I believe to know a poodle, is to love a poodle. They are happy, fun loving smart dogs that love to retrieve and have a sense of humor. BTW: I love all animals, large and small including boxers.

Ok so its only a toy poodle...but if they allowed dogs then they would have to allow all dogs.Can you imagine if you were sitting enjoying a drink and a pittbull came over to ur table? Or any dog for that matter.What if it had to take a leak? lol

Lighten up and have a laugh. Wherever we go, nothing we do harms anybody, our intention is to have fun. Bugsy is a great dog and is permitted in bars and restaurants in our "home town" New York City. We were not trying to get away with anything. But we thought it was funny, and that is why we put it up on YouTube. I guess we are lucky to live in a much more dog friendly and tolerant city.

Are you really that uptight? I don't hate poodles, but I think poodle owners who dye them pink and cut their fur to look like decorative shrubbery and turn them into circus acts are insane, but I too LOVE animals, poodles included. Boxers are not retrievers at all- they take the ball and run... but they did punch a guy in the nuts who tried to hit me, and they watch over me when I am sick... amazing dogs. Your dog is equally amazing. :-) Its my warped sense of humour.
