What if an American citizen were imprisoned in a tiny Brazilian city in the middle of nowhere, for 2.5 yrs without a trial? What if the only supporting "fact" to the accusation was the testimony of a psychologist who had lost her license when she counseled children to lie in similar cases? What if the bail was set to $75 million dollars? WHAT WOULD THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT DO?

  • This story is only one sided and slanted to the defense because before trial the prosecution needs to be quiet. Don't believe everything you hear even on the news. This news story has lots of holes. This is a good example of how an overzealous reporter can hurt the victims by not getting her facts straight. He has since plead guilty and is awaiting sentencing. Sexual abuse of children should not be so focused on attacking the prosecution. 2 grand juries thought the prosecution had a strong case.

  • It's absurd... Human rights??? Over 2 years in jail without having the opportunity to defend himself???
