I just picked up a kz myself and want to mount the turn signals on side the headlight. How does your brackets work ? its kinda hard to see them in the video
Uhhh, there is a lot of bad info going on here. First, that rear fender is an early 900 fender; no difference between KZ and LTD. Second, I would challenge anyone to purchase a bike this nice for less than 3K...you won't do it, unless you find some naive person, who is unaware of the value of these bikes. The bike is badged incorrectly, but that is an easy fix. Just go to Z1 Enterprises; they sell all of them.
@yamrz500 Only the 79 & 80 ranks as great bikes, from 81 on they ruined the looks and performance. You want a really GREAT Kawasaki, get yourself a 1980 Z1 Classic. The most rare of all the 1000's produced and has fuel injection.
Too bad you didn't just leave it factory stock, then it would be worth something, not $7000. These can be purchased for $3000 or less pretty much anywhere. Wrong emblems on it, the re-paint on the tank isn't correct, turn signals wrong, mirrors aren't original, wrong grab bar, wrong rear fender. Museum piece? Hardly. If properly restored a nice personal collectible. It's too bad people ruin these bikes by sticking money into their personal whims rather than keeping them factory stock.

What's up with the rear chrome fender? All LTD's had a smaller rear chrome fender, this fender has the orignal KZ1000 fender, not LTD fender.
