I don't even know where to start with this. When I first heard this song back in November, I immediately knew I had to make a Phantom video with it. I had all these pictures in my mind about what I wanted it to look like. Especially during the middle of the song when you just hear the vocalizing parts. What I put in this video is what I pictured as much as possible and to my ability. To say getting the timing right was challenging is a complete understatement. It got frustrating but I knew in the end it would be worth it. This is my very first video that I really did a lot of the clips to the music itself. I didn't actually work on this for 3 months straight. Maybe 3 weeks but due to other things going on, it took much longer. But the extra time only made me make it better because when I first started in November, a lot of the stuff that you see in this video, I never thought about. Some things I just added recently also. I am extremely proud of this video. I really worked hard on it and you have no idea how many times I had to redo a couple of the timing parts. But I feel like this song deserves more than just a simplistic video. I made it specifically so that it has to be viewed more than once to see everything so I hope you all will view it many times.

And many parts have two overlays or masking and an overlay over the main clip. I was trying to be as creative with this as possible. There's even some parts where it looks like I just used an overlay or masking but I used the Chroma Keyer which is like masking and can look really awesome. The three different clips at the end with Christine that are in color are used with the Chroma Keyer and there's another part that I got it to look like just an overlay or masking but it's really the Chroma Keyer. At 3:18 when you see Christine and Erik is to the right, that was done with the Chroma Keyer. I'm very proud of how that turned out. I'm also really proud of how the clips fade into each other during certain parts. Especially in the second chorus. And about the masking, it's not easy to mask movement so a lot of the scenes during the choruses and at the end that are done with masking, a lot of it I did over and over again until I was happy with it. I know there are at least a couple flaws but I think I did pretty good considering the difficulty.

What this video is about is basically Christine is leaving Erik and Erik picturing what he and her had together. She is telling him that she'll always be with him even though they are not together physically. And the colored parts are from Christine's point of view while the black and white parts are Erik's memories. Especially during the chorus, when you see the black and white, it's Erik's memories and Christine in the color is her saying to him that she'll always be with him, just not physically. I know it's sad but I just had to make this video. I will also be making a 1990 Phantom video with this song because it's so epic and her version of this song is a total masterpiece!

And I really feel that this version of the song is far superior to the original. No offense to anyone who likes the original of course. I just wanted to share my thoughts. So please don't hate me.

I didn't get to really listen to this song until just tonight and...wow. Breath completely gone because it applies to certain parts of my life completely. At some point, I decided to actually give this video a complete run-through. Beautiful, as always! I'm seriously considering doing my own video to this song, although with the software I have it'll remain inferior to your excellent one :P
