One of the neat features of this Pentax Optio W30 is it can go underwater. That means it is pretty well sealed and probably will not get cloged with dirt like my first digital camera, an Optio 60. I don't plan on a lot of underwater shooting but I just had to take a dip in this pool to see what is there. Not the only camera out there but a pretty good deal for a beginner like me. So I guess this is about how to get started with underwater photography ah?

  • This camera is pretty cool. It's supposed to last underwater for about 2 hours!

  • Haven't tried that yet but with a full battery and 4GB SD it should go for that long.

  • wish i had a pole and some worms :)

  • Sorry to late we didn't get much rain and it dried up. I don't know where the fish go but they will come back when there is water again,

  • @UserUnknown77 Probably so. They must repopulate each spring as I don't think this pool is deep enough to stay water below the frost/freeze line. They also might survive by following the current through the swamp below toward Pine Creek about a half mile away.

  • that's cool.

  • Neat! Hope you enjoy the camera and that it lasts for you! :-)

  • Pretty neat video.
