LINCOLN PORTRAIT composer Aaron Copland narrated by Ken Anderson

Ken Anderson narrates "Lincoln Portrait" by composer Aaron Copland The photographs are from the
book "Lincoln", A Picture Story Of His Life, by Stefan Lorant. Ken has narrated this piece at many
different events. This narration is accompanied by the Corning Area Community Concert Band the
guest conductor is Sgt. Major (retired) Arthur Himmelberger. This is one of Ken's favorite works and
he performs it frequently.

Mr Ken Anderson is dreadful. Sorry, but I can't phrase it any other way. He sounds as if he were emulating Darth Vader slowed down from 30ips to 15ips on playback.

untrueman The Lincoln Portrait is not a song,and is not meant to sound like a piece of music. It has a band in the background, but is also presented as a narrative with no music at all. Sorry you don't like it. Ken who is now 81 years old  thinks of it as important. Hope you like some of the

other things he has here on youtube.

of a time when a President spoke to the people, and cared about America.
