This is the most beautiful woman of the 1940's. I can't think of any other star from that time that could match her beauty, sincerity or service to her country. A rare talent that was taken away from us far too soon.

He spent a fortune trying to make her into a Movie Star in 1953-55 and it back-fired because she couldn't act her way out of a paper bag!!! @zodiolestes So the idea that he "mistreated" her as if she were a victim in a mutually consensual affair is bogus.

Why on earth would you call Rex Harrison a "sex dog" yet not Carol Landis who was notorious for such actions herself. "But Carol Landis is a pretty girl! And she looks so sweet! And her actions were just cus she was troubled..." why do you justify her sexual escapades, yet condemn those of Harrison's? I think it's a valid point to bring up your hypocrisy on the matter.

@zodiolestes Your comments were self indulgent and despicable. Carol Landis committed suicide...that means she killed herself and no one was a part of that action. It's possibly related to manic depression and Landis lived in a time that didn't know anything about such disorders. No one is really responsible for that.

Rex Harrison did not beat her, or verbally abuse her or mock her-unless you have some evidence to back that up-all he did was refuse to marry her..as any sane man would do.
