Thats sweet! I live in the New York City area and it seems to be an exceptional irruption year on this side of the pond as well. At a local park, I saw 3 Snowies in one day about 3 weeks ago. Just this past weekend, I returned and saw two more! Check out the video on my channel.

This Owl is found in northern Europe too and disperses south for the winter, often as far as Britain in most years. This year has been exceptional with a bird as far south as Cornwall, SW England and two more in the Channel Islands. I can currently see the Guernsey bird on an offshore island, from my bedroom!

Does this species range extend into europe/eurasia or is it strictly north american?
