CTV British Columbia

Comedian Stephen Colbert has been on a satirical crusade against Richmond, B.C. and all of Canada -- calling us some pretty nasty names. The issue -- a misguided perception by some that American speed skaters aren't getting fair access to our Olympic Oval. As CTVs 2010 reporter Mike Killeen tells us -- it's time to fight back.

I really don't get where anyone thought that CTV took it seriously. When you introduce yourself as a syrup sucker it's not serious. When Colbert filmed from Vancouver people held up signs that said things like "This ice-hole loves Colbert". Maybe the same people who misunderstood this are those who think Stephen is really a republican?

@igg73 I don't think they really took it seriously, they were pretty light-hearted about it. They simply clarified a misunderstanding while laughing at his jokes with him. If they had gone one some diatribe about how offensive and inaccurate his comments were than, yeah they would have been taking it too seriously.
