What a beautiful hike up James Peak from Loch Lomond. This was an easy 9 mile hike to the summit of James Peak at 13294 ft.

  • It is 9 miles round trip. This is the first time I've hiked James Peak. I haven't hiked up from St. Mary's Glacier either. I hiked up Steuart Rd. from Loch Lomond Rd. I hiked to Reynolds Lake (the second lake) and gained the ridge to the north from there. The summit is due west. This was an easy, non-technical hike.

  • 9 miles one way or round trip? Have you ever hiked to James peak on the west side of the divide from Rollins pass? I did that the other day it it was fun but i want to know if the hike from St Marry's Glacier is any easier.
