@Mackaveli7 Hello there, please dont put human charactaristics to your animals. Your bird is going through a moult, i.e. he is changing his feather and this is very normal, it happen every year in the summer time. And your bird doesnt feel lonely because in the nature canaries doesnt live in floks, i.e. not social, they even dont live with their partner or babies after the end of the breeding season.

@Kitnami hahah didnt know they pick they partners like that, the other bird i had was a yellow one but i dont think they liked eachoter because the yellow one didnt let the gloster take the food that it was eating and it jumped on the gloster once, poor gloster :( oh wow! thats another thing why i cant get another canary, when they will breed they will have lots of babies, i would have taken care of them ofcourse but my mom wouldnt like it and i could never ever sell them or take them away

@Mackaveli7 poor birdy >.<. You are most welcome. Keep in mind that if you do get another one, he may not like it. They all have their personal preferences. Our orange guy has a thing for pied green hens, so whe we brought him and orange hen..he didn't like her. If you can find a canary that looks like the former, you birdy might take to it better. That's what happened to us and now we are up to are butts in Canary babies..they had 5 this year xdd.

@Kitnami i have him usually in the kitchen or the balcony, when i move him he just flies back there, he loves it there hehe it is a great spot for him because its big windows and plenty of sunlight and sight of nature but it also makes me very sad when he just sits and look out in the nature, how do i filter the water? would be good to know but he dont drink much at all, i give him everyday bath water and hopes he takes a bath, he does about once every three days, oh didnt know he likes carrots

@Kitnami i will its just a bit hard to find one where i live, but ill do anything for my little birdie, i´ve been thinking about getting a friend for him ALOT but my mom doesnt want to since there will be double the cleaning after them and stuff but im on talking her into getting another, yesterday i played video for him where a champion canary sings on my cellphone, then my canary jumped up on my cellphone and tried to look for the other and pick my cellphone with his beak, it was really sad :(

yes from my experience they breed like rabbits if they fancy each other and you can end up with 4 babies, we now have two pairs of mates and only one pair had babies. they had 4 babies. We are finding them proper homes.

My canaries are just ending their molt. Keeping in mind that domestic canaries as wild as they may be are not wild canaries. They can be lonely, but it could be just the molt. Which Is why I suggested a vet if there is that much concern. If the canary is lonely as Mackaveli said it had a buddy, then it probably since it was use to have another canary should have another canary there. I only know that based on my canaries, though if you get to many canaries they fight.
