As a japanese citizen born in Japan I can tell you this is a beautiful piece of history as rich as my own country which is much older. I do wish more Americans were more patriotic today. I think it takes a special kind of person to join the armed forces as it is the ultimate sign of patriotism. To risk ones own life for the freedom of ones own country is, in my mind, extremely honourable and worthy of much respect. I was saved from drowning at 10 by a US soldier here. My deepest gratitude.

There is one thing that Baltimore knows about is defense. Whether its football or otherwise. If it wasn't for Baltimore and New Orleans...there wouldn't be an America today.

I am from Baltimore. In my state of Maryland they proudly tell this story in our schools. (Even if its the last one they tell.) However, there are many other factors that are not addressed in this video. He doesn't tell you that the tradesmen and women sank their own ships to block the harbor from being invaded. That before the fight broke out that there was an invasion plan to also attack from the land at a place called North Point, which is now in modern day Dundalk. It failed as well.

They fought and died to free from tyrannical government. Liberty, individualism, freedom. They fought and died to free from tyrannical government. They fought and died to free from tyrannical government. They fought and died to free from tyrannical government.
FREE... FROM... GOVERNMENT.
