A tribute to the greatest exhibition of human communication in our time...

Sadly, this incarnation no longer exists, but Spaceship Earth Version Three shall live on in our memory forever. And I hope all of you will take to heart what Jeremy Iron's said at the end of the ride:

Since the dawn of recorded time, communication has revolutionized our lives and changed our world. We now have the ability and the responsibility to build new bridges of acceptance and cooperation between us; to create a better world for ourselves and our children as we continue our amazing journey aboard Spaceship Earth.

  • What a video. A credit to what was the best ride ever created. You have done Spaceship Earth the best tribute that could ever be done. What is the name of the music, It just makes it so moving and so memorable. I will miss this ride so much, even though I live in Wales

  • Thank you so much for posting this comment. It is indeed the best ride ever created.

  • Spaceship Earth saved my life. It is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen inside and out.I will miss Spaceship Earth version 3.Thank you so much for making this video. It brought me to tears.

  • I greatly appreciated your comment.

  • Is it true the renovations will be done in phases? 1 month closed. 1 month open. And so on? By the way nice video. However the T3 music is a bit creepy. It always reminds me of that final scene with the missles.

  • it will be closed from July to November the whole time. I love the T3 music. I really like the current SSE, and felt the music seemed appropriate since we are losing something global, and is also the most attended attraction in the world and the symbol of Epcot's "Future World."

  • @Spazaliciouschick The biggest change is the trip back down which on the version we all miss continued to have traditional Disney tableau's using animatronics, perspective views, lights and lasers. The commentary was about communications forging realtionships as we spin through space. The new version is just a TV monitor in each omnimover which shows a lame cartoon view of how we will travel and vacation. It lacks any message of hope or vision. I want my money back!

  • I love Disney world, I'm going there December 8th. Please be sure to check out our videos on tips for disney. But this video was verey moving. Thank you for posting.

  • awesome video!

  • I would really love someone to explain this to me. I went to Disney at 5 years old (when the gaudy wand was on it) and I didn't ride it. Going again at 15, I would love to hear about this "Best Ride Ever" and what exacly about it has changed that is causing so much outrage?

  • I hate that they changed the ride. I kno all great things must come to an end but...not the old Spaceship Earth (version 3 was it?), anything but that

  • @imtheslime2

more power to ya... going back to Disney will be what you make of it.. in fact, tears in the park are so renewing and so define.. it really is the best place on Earth to cry! best wishes to you and yours.

  • @Tampajoe77 I'm also facing my father's death now. He has cancer. I just got back from taking him to all the Disney parks. He had to ride an electric scooter. Sadly, he didn't seem to get much joy out of the trip, but, he did look forward to it the days before we went. He loves Disney World. It's going to be hard facing this. I never realized how sad it can actually be going to Disneyworld depending on the circumstances.

  • I could not agree more.

  • I went back to Epcot last month, I thought I was gonna be disappointed but it was okay. I rode it like 5 times when I was down there.

  • Spaceship Earth does rule! I don't like this new version as much. Judy Dench has some poorly written lines, and the end part where you "pick" your future...looks like they stole the animation from an Esurance commercial......... and if you ride it more then a couple of times each visit, the end gets very boring, very quick.
