Assault On Precinct 13 (MOVIE REVIEW)

This John Carpenter, action movie was released in 1976.

Assault was fairly enjoyable action movie. A police officer, two desk clerks and two death row inmates have to band together in a small, run down police station to fend of a violent, blood thirsty super gang.

I dug this movie. It had a killer soundtrack and a nice, tension filled atmosphere. I had a couple jokes, some good performances, nice use of violence. Lots of things getting shot up. If you dig 70's action movies, this should be right up your alley.

i loved this. carpenters 70's and 80's films are all about atmosphere and the synth score. the thing is my favourite by him although the main music is surprisingly done by ennio morricone. what happened to carpenters career though? he's not made anything of worth for the past twenty years!

i love this movie. it's maybe my favorite john carpenter movie. this has the greatest scene in all of film - when the little girl gets shot. so perfect. so AWESOME. i was like, "WHAAAAT?" when i saw that when i was a kid. oh, damn, battle of the planet of the apes? dude is big time. carpenter says this was inspired by rio bravo. great review!

I like John Carpenter's old synthesizer usage for his music, it's good stuff. I have yet to see this movie but I saw the remake with Morpheus in it which sucked.

I tried to watch this once but I fell asleep because I thought it was really boring. I really like most of Carpenter's other films, though.
