Hey yall...i've got a chance to see thw real EWF and THE ALL SATRS live here in Brasil.Man, agreeded or not, the ALL STARS sounded much much more better, the sounds were really great and the voices got that metalic and high tune by witch the ELEMENTS were once noun.

I'm a great fun of EWF, but i have to admit THE ALL STARS sounds much mor EWF them themselves, nowadays...

Philip is still the icon on the higher notes, but nothing more...at least live

OK Sidaartha, that's one thing we do share - a love for EWF. Just to clear things up, have never discredited Al, think he's so talented it's unreal! Pity he's not still out there with them, but again you can't fault him for getting on with things after he left the band. And would love to hear some more original stuff from him too! All the very best from a fellow EWF devotee.

LOL. Alright then man I'll ease up on you then. I can't fault you for having your own opinion. In some of your earlier comments a while back it really sounded like you were discrediting Al's contribution to the band, and I know Al very well, so couldn't I let that slide. So my mistake If I read into it wrong. I guess its stupid to argue over a band that we both really love.

I've got every respect for Al McKay, and never said . But there's no doubting the real EWF. I'm aware of all the differences, it's too bad you're so ignorant and stupid as to pre-judge people. But I ain't mad at you either - you have your opinion and I have mine. As I said I'd happily go and see Al's band - their show is excellent. But I'm sticking with the real thing.

I know the real EWF that's for sure. I grew up with EWF in the 70's and for sure there is a difference in the sound. However, I'll always be eternally grateful to Philip, Verdine and Ralph for keeping the legacy alive. And doing a superb job of it as well. The only sadness is that Maurice now cannot tour due to illness. Al is supremely talented, I've never doubted or argued with that but I'd rather he'd stayed with or rejoined EWF. The real EWF.

And another thing. Them having longer service in the group don't mean shit. because when Al left the group all the magic was said and done. They haven't sounded the same since. Even Philip has admitted to that. So you really don't know shit when it comes to what's real and what's an illusion.

Why don't you tell me the difference (technically) between Al's Allstars and the so called Earth, Wind, & LIAR!!! From How I hear it Verdine is not even playing live half the time. He's playing to a click track. Its all Hollywood bullshit. Its to bad your to stupid to the know the difference. But hey, if your getting paid well I aint mad at you. Go ahead and make that money man

Yah your right. But whats does that mean. You can't even tell me a significant reason why i you like them besides the name.

I bet you can't even tell me the difference between how they sound now verses how they sounded in the 70's which makes you a bias listener. You think them having the name makes them the better band. Well i can definitely tell you aint no musician or a REAL listener at that. Your facts are all based on superficial status rather quality of sound or your being paid well.
