An upcoming concert jointly presented by Vivo Experimental Orchestra and Zhao Jing, a Pipa Virtuoso and Lecturer from Xi'an Conservatory of Music. The Pipa, a traditional 4-stringed Chinese lute, is known as gentle and refined, like an aristocratic lady. Pipa Talks shows the lively and vivacious side of the instrument. Zhao Jing uses the rich techniques and vocabulary of Pipa to tell you stories with different rhythm, with songs ranging from traditional Pipa melodies with elegant and artistic charm, to lively and passionate modern classical.
