  • where is this because i just went to see an imax and the control room looked just like this

  • It's in Dallas, TX and used to be called the Science Place. Since it merged with the Museum of Natural History they are both now called the Museum of Nature & Science.

  • @kevinspl2000 tape is better than anything else, even HDD. If you go to a digital cinema, what you are watching is TV anyway, cinema is CINEMA

  • @MightySaturn5 I actually found this funny!

  • i cant believe that they still use tape

  • when does imax become digital projection so i can plug in my xbox. Or lets take the simple route and make a realtime digital>film reel converter

  • I work in a cinema with a single 35mm projector that's 40 years old, has a stop button that doesn't work and is held together with gaffer tape. We use a tower system with a bent take-up reel that makes a horrible grinding sound, and the projection room has barely enough space to move around in - you have to hold your breath and hope you don't get your nose chopped off by the feed reel when you squeeze behind the back of the projector to get to the sound gear!

...I am so jealous of this video.

  • Pathetic interview and interviewer...don't pocket!

  • depending on the lamp size which can be between 4Kw to 15Kw cost between 1 and 5.00 per hour to run

  • the Imax bulbs are really expensive because I tried to buy one over the phone but the guy kept telling me I had reached the local cab company & that if I didn't stop calling he would call the cops then the nut house -I know if someone lies to you saying they're the cab company then obviously they can only sell to select companies and those bulbs must be expensive because the worker at the gardening center at Walmart told me certain bulbs are perriannual so maybe Walmart has Imax bulbs for cheap
