Hey... its so interesting that you didn't like Devachan... I LOVE that place and think it's the greatest thing ever... mixed chicks dried my hair out like the desert. Just goes to show that not every thing will work for every body.

Don't get me wrong... I loved everything about the experience and the salon is great.. They do awesome cuts... It was the product that just didn't work well with my hair... Like you said, everything doesn't work well with everyone the same :-)

i tried devacurl products for the first time today and i have to say, i love the products, i usually cleanse my hair with wen haircare products by chaz dean, which i rate as 5 stars out of 5, but devacurl line is very good as well, it is defiantly one of my top products for cleansing now, as for their gel, i tried archangel, and i don't mind crunch i prefer definition. its awesome in my opinion. as for your end result, u'r hair looked great wen they did it, u seem to like ur hair extra big tho.

Taren, I just discovered your channel on Thurs. Was inspired to wear my hair out on Fri and well... my hair is not your hair! LOL My hair is blunt looks a mess curly. I think the noodle look is cute on you, but there is a big difference between the way you style and they styled. Your way looks fresh, bouncy and healthy! You mentioned April was your stylist, would you recommend some one else? I plan on making a trip from MD/DC area and want to make this as positive an experience as possible.

Awww, I liked your worm and noodle curls...it still looks very pretty.  But the way you style your hair yourself, definitely gives you a look with more personality and charm. It's a very flattering and dynamic and you really rock that look!

I've actually had the products put in before... I kinda understand as far as the gel because i like my hair to feel soft not crunchy that's why i don't really use gel but I think you kinda jump a little with the no-poo and the conditioner. Plus it sound more like you didn't like the way she put the product in than the product itself because u seem to talk more about how she put it in than what the product felt like. Maybe it wouldn't have been as bad if it was put in differently.

I got a haircut from the Devachan salon about a month ago. I don't remember exactly what they used, but they put a ton of product in my hair and afterwards it did feel hard, dry and crunchy, although it looked great. However, this wasn't exactly a problem for me. I have 3c-4a hair and I was able to sleep on it and keep the style for 3-4 days. That was a huge plus for me, as my hair never looks the same after I sleep on it! This reason alone would make me try the Devacurl products on my own.

FROM A PROFESSIONAL PROSPECTIVE, JUST SO EVERYONE IS CLEAR, MIXED CHICKS IS MORE EXPENSIVE AND DOES WORK (WHILE ITS IN, WHICH MEANS THAT IT IS NOT TRULY MOISTURIZING, IT IS AN OVERLAY WHICH APPEALS TO THE EYE AS THOUGH IT IS MOISTURIZED) YOU NEED TO LEARN HOW TO PROPERLY USE THE PRODUCTS IN ORDER FOR THEM TO WORK PROPERLY.... THANKS FOR READING.....BTW, WITH MIXED CHICKS YOU MUST USE IT DAILY, WITH DEVA CURL YOU CAN RE-WET THE NEXT DAY AND PIECE THROUGH YOUR CURLS WITH YOUR FINGERS TO RE-SMOOTH.
