i think you should go and read about the UEFI and BIOS , the EFI(apple) booted after 2 seconns and the other took about 20sec , before it begain to read the windows files... its not about the CPU , the start-up is all about HDD and BIOS-speed , read alittle BIOS and UEFI but its nice video... Apple has EFI again

Well, HDD speed is like 80-90% of what matters for booting. RAM matters in the fact, if you have a lot of system processes and programs starting up they get loaded into RAM so I suppose RAM matters too for that.

I mean unless Mac has something similar to a POST before Boot up, technically the BIOS post isn't the boot, so after post you can start timing it.

Technically I don't think the post for the BIOS should be counted. But eh... too each their own.

HDD speed matters for boot up not CPU and RAM and System BUS lol.
