Schama pissed?

From what little I've seen of the "Intelligence Squared" debates, they consist of little more than kangaroo court-type hearings abundant in sophistry, skewed facts, completely missing the point, all ultimately aimed towards making the relativist, atheist, "sola ratione" views of whomever is running, funding, or sponsoring the show look moral, sensible, and - as the title states - intelligent. Further, they use "argumentum ad populum" to push their opinions. That's kinda chintzy, isn't it?

@mmillerm Does Simon Schama think he is on Comedy Corner or something? Serious discussions of foreign policy are not the place for rotten comedians, and General Jack Keane was completely correct to call Schama out on his theatrics, and to put him in his place (with the Clowns.)

You can always count on the French Left (New Philosophers) to cast in their lot with the enemies of rational freedom, as they have done since long before today and yesterday. The only French Philosopher worth his salt - Alexis de Tocqueville - speaks from the voice of the American Neoconservatives. The Obama administration's foreign policy is a complete nightmare, shot through from top to bottom with the void and vapidity of leftist "value" rhetoric, moral relativism and inversion.
