A tribute to my father who passed away may 6, 2009. There are many more pictures and many more words to say, but this is a short word. He was born in 1928 of Welsh parents but with the steely resolve and strength common to the World War II American generation. His father was a quarryman early on and then a supervisor at the Remington Arms gun manufacturing plant in Ilion New York where he made guns for the war effort while his two sons, Hugh and Richard, joined the War. Cousins still live in South Africa, New York, England, and probably, Wales. Hugh was a professor Emeritus at Ferris State University where he taught English for 38 years and loved Welsh music, along with American folk, bluegrass, Big Band, Jazz and Blues. Requiescat in Pace.
Very moving.A favourite song and so nice t hear such a personal rendition.

Dear Richard, there is a deeper quality to your later version of this song -- sorrow and loss often has that effect. This past week was the eighth anniversary of my father's death. My sincerest sympathies on your loss. You have many fine pictures of your father, and must have a multitude of fond memories. Sarah

A fitting eulogy to your father, most eloquently expressed with your pictures, words and song. Please accept the sympathy of a cultural fellow-Cymro from the Welsh valleys.

Sincere condolences to you and family, Richard, from Jean and me. Your father was clearly among the finest of Welsh-Americans and you are justly proud of him. Your tribute I found deeply moving and it struck a chord with which my family would swiftly empathise. Heddwch i Huw ap Gruffydd.

What a lovely tribute, my deepest sympathy for your recent loss. My dear father passed away far to young in 1989 at the age of 64. I still miss him so much.
Bye from Wales
