This is cool!
I have a dark plug on my honda. I know its rich I can tell by the idle and it smells rich. But I can actualy see its rich with this.
What great tool!!!
It will be interesting to see how things go as I drill my jets....

For best results...
Turn out till yellow.
Then IN till NEON blue, then back OUT till yellow while counting how far you go. Then back IN 1/2 way. Should be 'bunsen burner blue'.
This will keep you slightly on the rich side, thus extending engine life and cooler temps.
The bike will run, with IMMENSE power if you run NEON BLUE. But this is lean, and will overheat and burn holes in your piston crowns.

Hey DP....
Somewhat confused... I have Keihin 29mm cr specials.
Turning out (CCW) leans the mixture on these carbs.
In my setup...
adjust ccw to lean out till neon blue.
While counting number of turns....
then back in till yellow again.
Then back out basically half the number of turns between the two for slightly richer adjustment....
Correct?
Thanks, OMR

Yellow ignition flame = RICH....
Just Blue = optimum mixutre...
I'm turning the pilot CCW in this clip thus leaning it out more predominantly blue in color. If you listen closely, ~ 3/4 of the clip where turning blue you can here the change (smoothness) of the idle and this was only with the first carb..... Still had 3 more to go...
From the literature, you want just where it goes yellow to blue for optimum results....
