But time shares are basically a rip off--and that is no rumor when you consider the maintenance fees which you can be locked into for 30 years. These fees can be raised at any time, and assessment fees can be billed at any time. I know a lot of people like them, but it is NOT an investment. READ the fine print.

@Zarin822 That is you opinion. I have RCI poiints for years and pay $400 a year as maintenance and for that normaly I have 2 red weeks in resorts here in Australia. $23 a day looks awesome to me. But i'll have a look in your proposal. Cheers

They have modernized the industry into something user friendly. It isn't perfect yet, but I suspect it is getting there. The word "timeshare" has such a negative connotation to it due to some shoddy business done in the 70's and 80's. A name change is in order.

Great information video about the RCI exchange program, the option to exchange your timeshare is brilliant, however, I am not sure if they have perfected the exchange system. No doubt they are the industry leader. . .
