Drew the guitarist here...went to Switchfoot.

@gx43321 It reminds me of the Scripture that says "He who loves his life will lose it, but he who hates his life will gain it."

@SonicVeritas Isn't that the truth? I've always loved the part of the song where the singer talks about a shattered window pane, and then seconds later the guitarist goes into "rock out" mode.

After so many years.. This song is still so fresh and rejuvenating.. Got Goose bumps all over. Wow what a great band.. This song stood the test of time.. Hence the "awesomeness"

What happened to this DUDES..

@Migel :
Not to start an argument, but it's your statement that lacks integrity. Simple does not equal bad. In this case, the band most likely chose to keep the music simple in order to let the vocals and the message stand out. This song is not 'popular', but it speaks volumes more than 99% of what is. It's fine if you don't like this song, but your opinion doesn't translate into what is 'good'. This song has saved lives. I know, I'm one of them. You vehemence produces nothing.

@100truesmile I give my life to you (Christ) so I can gain it back again! (Living like Christ not like the fleshly body!)
