Ya, pretty good for games. Certainly not as good as a desktop or gaming PC, but it's pretty good for gaming for the price. I play the Sims 3 on it, no problems. If you're just using it for games, then you must be into lots of games. I use mine for word processing, surfing the net, and playing some games once in a while. You should go for a gaming laptop since you're just using it for games, so try an Alienware, Voodo, basically a gaming laptop. But this is good for some games, and work.

no i didnt, and i just recently broke the power jack aswell, i have to tape it there, so im thinking of getting a new laptop, maybe a macbook?
