  • @milmarm This nation is not under anyone's god. That motto was amended by religious lobbyists during the Red Scare. Religion has no place determining personhood; that is for biologists and neuroscientists.

  • "We need not resolve the difficult question of when life begins. When those trained in the respective disciplines of medicine, philosophy, and theology are unable to arrive at any consensus, the judiciary, at this point in the development of man's knowledge, is not in a position to speculate."

  • I pay taxes that go to the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. I'm against that, but I don't have a say, how is that any different, from paying taxes for a general human right?

  • Why are we even discussing a procedure that is legal in this country? If it was illegal then I can see making sure we do not use federal funding, but this make no sense. If it was the "will of the people" then it would be illegal. Isn't jobs our highest priority?

  • @BoredomCorner. You took the Bait along with all the other MoveOn sheep. "Forcible" is a term intentionally put it in to use as a "Bargaining Chip" You got stuck on the word, and not the content of the Bill. The Right actually used the Lefts Machine to deliver this Bill to the American public. Now as America actually looks at the Bill they realize it has nothing to do with RAPE or redefining it, and as they look deeper they can see that it helps deconstruct ObamaCare.

  • Why are the Republicans redefining rape, to abandon underage girls and date rape victims?

  • Thanks for a great job! great article on this at the patriotstatesman-com today

  • I applaud Speaker John Boehner, Rep. Chris Smith and those representatives that stand beside them. As a nation, let us hurry along the path of this higher ground, ever increasing the beauty of its scenery with greater and more lovely acts of moral rectitude contained within our laws. Let us live, once again, our motto, 'One Nation, Under God.'

  • maybe Boehner should have said " ONE of there top priorities" instead of "ONE of there top priorities" this way that liberal would have understood and differentiated it from " Thee top priority"
