Big Cat Rescue is located in Tampa Florida, during the summer months it gets extremely hot, so to help our cats beat the heat we make them popsicles!

For the smaller cats we make bloodcicles, chickcicles and sardini martinis, but for our larger residents we make super size popsicles for them to enjoy!

Watch one of our senior volunteers go through the process of making one of these giant popsicles and then hand it out to a grateful tiger!

  • awsome! do u guys do the same thing for the little big cats? but use a different methode to make it or do u guys just put a little bit in the bucket?

  • @TigerWolfSpirit Yep! We use empty yoghurt pots for the smaller species :)

  • eating frozen meat is not a natural behaviour

  • @vasilikos12 The natural behaviors we refer to are the licking and effort they have to put in to picking apart their "prey" to get to the food treats inside. They would be licking the fur off of prey in the wild and gnawing away on bones etc...

  • @BigCatRescue yes but the temperature of the pray is i thing at least warm not frozen.eating frozen meat is very unnatural.

  • @vasilikos12 It may be unnatural but, it's definitely a treat for them during the summer :)

  • This is a pretty good idea. Maybe I could do the same for my own cats - freeze up some tuna juice and they'd go nuts over it!

  • EW lol :)

  • @BigCatRescue cool :) all the cats there are spoiled lol xD

  • Well they are different so i don't agree to what you are doing. Let them near a swimming pool, a lake, a river, a waterfall...this is nature.

  • Very cool
