It's kind of sad that Anakin decided to serve the darkside. This reminds me of the time when the archangel Lucifer rebelled against God and became the Lord of darkness and destruction.

Well, as you pointed out, it says "heroes"--plural, so Dooku, Palpatine, Grievous, etc can all be dark side heroes and Anakin/Vader's amazing saber skills definitely put him into the "hero" category.
