This is an Irish song I learned from the dutch band Kilshannig. On this video, I sing it with my friend (in front with the lyrics in her hands :P)

  • one of the killshannig band is my teacher

  • You should be famous.

  • A wonderful song, infinitely sad.

More beautiful and sad here, sung by women .

This softness in their voices... and all the suffering in the world ...

May our future generations never know all this suffering and live in peace.

    Peace to all.

  • Written by Eric Bogle who was born in Scotland and emigrated to Australia in 1969 so not Irish, but certainly about Ireland's troubles.

    Well Sung

    Peace
