One of my students bought this banjo and after we got it set up for him, he asked me to record something on it. It has Nylgut brand strings, which work really well on spunover pots and with friction pegs--though the 5th string peg gave me a bit of trouble--check the end of the clip! gDGBD or close thereto (the strings are still stretching).

  • like this version - I'll have to try and learn it. Trying to get myself off tab - difficult for an old brain. Could I ask you a favor and maybe do Little Maggie? Haven't seen that one yet and like your arrangements. I've learned it a bit from Brads roundpeak cd/book.

  • Hmmm, not a tune I usually play (though I did when I was a BG player). Maybe I'll give it a shot one day! :-)
