A historic overnight stop on the old stagecoach road between Pendleton and John Day. Pulling up to the Ritter Springs General Store puts you in company with the thousands of cowboys and settlers who stopped here on the old stagecoach run to Pendleton. The Ritter Stage Road followed winding river valleys and steep ridges, culminating in a steep, 5-mile descent to the Ritter Springs stage stop.
Fluu - Curious what year you shot the video footage at Ritter?
Do you live in Eastern Oregon? What took you to Ritter to film there, if you don't mind my asking?
Respectfully,
Norm

hey Norm,
this was shot 8-08, my folks took me here as a youngster, and now i enjoy taking my youngster there. i live some hours away from Ritter. i posted this vid because i wanted to share the mystique and nostalgia that is Ritter. i encourage any and all to visit. and don't miss out on Mike. he runs the joint, and knows entirely too much about the history. he's likely a reincarnated cowboy from back in the day, or perhaps a ghost. i can't be certain. go see for yourself. and have a soak. =]
