A Boy & His Dog 1 of 10

Vic (Don Johnson) is a solo scavenger, who has his psionic dog, Blood (voiced by Tim McIntire), for company. They have a food for sex relationship. No, no... Vic doesn't... The dog sniffs out girls, that is until the girl sniffed turns out to be bait to lure him away from his canine buddy.

The second part of the film is set in the truly surreal Down Under, a subterranean society ruled by a committee of crazy dictators, with the power of summary execution, who slavishly and uncomprehendingly ape 20th century Americana

I have to admit Im really suprised how many people have enjoyed me putting this up, I always just thought of it as a cultish kind of film with a bit of dark humor in it.. Thank you everyone whos made such kind comments about this and I wonder if it would have been as popular if the game fallout hadnt been made (I havent played this yet but really am trying to get round to it and would like to see why people make the connection to it) Anyway hope you enjoy:)

I only just saw this film and i was surprised by how many things fallout directly took from this film :) I absolutely loved this film, the only thing that bugged me was down under and everyone wearing that clown make-up.

Man I love this film, possibly one of my favourites, plus it inspired the greatest gaming series ever created.

On a side note, I wonder how many parents brought their children to see this movie thinking it was gonna be like old yeller or lassie or something like that and were shocked when they learned it was actually a post-apocalyptic movie about a rapist teenager and his telepathic dog... Man women's groups probably hated this film.

I REMEMBER GOING TO THE MOVIES TO SEE THIS.I SAW ALL THE NICE PARENTS BRINGING THEIR LITTLE KIDS IN TO SEE THE SWEET MOVIE ABOUT BOY AND DOG. ABOUT THE TIME ANTS CAME CRAWLING OUT OF AN EMPTY EYE SOCKET OF A CORPSE THEY ALL GOT UP AND LEFT THE THEATRE. ANYONE ELSE SEE THAT HAPPEN?

Watched this movie for the first time yesterday. I loved it. Might be a new favorite.
