@Pinin500 by that logic, there would hardly be any countries left on the planet. you are generalizing to a degree that is simply ridiculous. everyone that was involved should indeed have been punished. it is a shame that some of the most evil men simply got away with it and fled the country but wiping out a country? only an evil and fanatic person could come to that conclusion.

The assassination of Heydrich did not shorten the war. It resulted in the deaths of many hundreds of civilians who otherwise would [probably] have lived. The town and population of Lidice would not have been liquidated. Nazi rule would have continued under Heydrich, unpleasant no doubt. The end would still have come in May 1945.

@WorldWartimeSStories they were not affraid of Heydrich the man. he was just a man. nobody just gives themselves up. not even you would do that. those men who died in the cave went down fighting. and you know it. and since you want to keep it real. Hitler died much the same way. Deep in a bunker knowing he had shitted on his country. he died not a hero but forever a stain on history.
