My rendition of Stepenwolf's 1968 hit "Born To Be Wild", played on my Alembic Essence Bass Guitar.

ABOUT THE SONG
Mars Bonfire (born Dennis Eugene McCrohan) wrote "Born to Be Wild" for his band, Steppenwolf.

The song was recorded in June, 1968 and it was originally released as a 45 RPM, 7" vinyl single, although it was later included in many recopilation and soundtrack albums, being the first of these the soundtrack of 1969's movie "Easy Rider".

"Born to Be Wild" reached number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles charts.

The bass part was originally played by Steppenwolf's bassist, Nick St. Nicholas.
