Kung Fu vs Karate - Open Tournament Point Sparring

Shen Kung Fu Academy students compete in several tournaments a year as part of their training. The rules for sparring vary depending on modality and style. Whether continuous, full contact, point sparring or kickboxing our students are expected to understand the rules and to respect them, to accept the judges calls and decisions and to use their kung fu training and techniques. Breaking the rules and being disqualified is not acceptable and is considered poor performance and lack of consideration and respect for the tournament rules, and for their opponent.
