My uncle Laurence Maddy is on the keyboards, he became a a producer and has worked with Something For Kate and tons and tons of other great aussie artists.
He's a talented guy.
I love this song, reminds me of when I was very young and Mental as Anything were huge lol.

I video-taped this song when it was on SBS's "Rock Around The World" - a completely different clip, partly set in a supermarket, and the "No Nonsense" logo is also on the floor where the band are standing.
I'll see if I can find the tape, and upload the clip and Basia's intro...

Scuse the overposting. Its funny to hear of the old 80s bands being told (to dismal effect) to lose the ska. The band I'm in keeps getting told to turn up the ska influence more lol. Funny old world.

Also , the graphics are fun in a kitschy sort of way. Captures the feel of the time I reckon.

Theres a version of the "My Dad" around on youtube somewhere but with dreadful sound. If someone has an original recording of it, the sound could be resynched by someone (whos not me!) with skillz, and some colour balancing clean up could be done in something like after-effects or whatever. Dont let australias awesome ska history get lost!

Don't know if I agree with your overall synopsis of the demise of the band....I have all the clips ( My Dad included )and will post them, as soon as I have them ripped off VHS.......is that you VG???
