@pretorious700 hahaha, maybe thats why unemployment suddenly skyrocketed.

anyone who makes the argument for a minimum wage has never run a business, small or otherwise. All the minimum wage does is keep people who don't qualify for a particular wage scale from working. It's called "logic".

@cobias you really don't have a clue wtf you're talking about, but hey, that puts you in the 99%
-
@impsick As much as they desire. Why should anyone be penalized for having a certain amount of money? What's the point of even making money if you're just going to lose it?
You shouldn't tax anyone regardless of their wealth. Taxing is government-sanctioned stealing.
Also, the average amount that the top 1% (those who make over $400,000, I believe) are taxed is 34%. It's relatively low, too, considering how much they used to get taxed.

Fuck corporate owned America. It's getting worse and worse...
TAX the fucking Church.

@leeknivek How many millions or billions of dollars does someone need in their bank?? And then on top of the greed comes more greed. The elite makes us pay for their tax break. You can't just give the rich a tax cut without making up that revenue somewhere else. Thats why Romney pays a fucking 15% and i pay fucking 30%.

@cobias That doesn't mean they should have to. Redistribution of wealth makes everyone poor. McDonalds has no obligation to you. Nor does any other company. You have no right to work and you have no right to a living wage. Those are government privileges. If you don't want to be a wage laborer then you're more than capable of farming or relying on charity.

Also, what's wrong with cheap overseas labor?
@OpieDJC Big corporations CAN afford to pay service workers more WITHOUT raising prices. These guys and CEO's make MILLIONS /BILLIONS a year in PERSONAL profits. Their wealth is created from cheap/plentiful natural resources and cheap overseas labor. They found a way through nafta to make SICKENING profits but they don't want to share in the wealth. AT ALL ! ( unless you are an inside stock trader ). Then the VULTURE credit/refinance corporations came in to make up the slack.

@OpieDJC - People work in horrible conditions for next to no pay for many reasons. That people need places to live and access to resources are both pretty good reasons, for example. I'm sure you're not going to claim that people haven't been coerced into working hard labor after an entire history of pastoral simplicity through no fault or request of their own. So you're a little less than genuine here, or maybe just putting too much faith in your conservative Econ 101 prof
