  • Our founder preferred young vocations. Also, we have such a tight, in-your-face community life that older women have found it very, very, very difficult no matter how much goodwill they have and how they thought they would be able to hack it and humbly obey and everything. ha ha Also, this age limit is set for the whole world and in many, many places, people still get married at 18, so America and Europe get voted down in int'l meetings every time we say: our average age of marriage is 29!

  • Hahah really flattering pictures at the beginning

  • @nebula402 Thanks for getting it! I purposely put unflattering pics (even of moi). Everyone else thinks i'm just a bad videographer... ha ha ha. This is my very first Youtube. they have only gotten worse. ha ha ha

  • how do we become postulants? is 30 the only age limit? who is the current Mother General of the Daughters of St Paul?

  • i live in staten island, and i was wondering if Sister Margaret Michael was originally from staten island.

  • Why do the Daughters of St Paul lack charity? I stopped shopping at any of their stores as of 2004. I tried to address my concerns to 2 different superiors of the treatment of lay persons shopping in their stores and my comments were completely dismissed. I haven't met a Daughter of St Paul yet who didn't snap with a nasty remark or make rude comments as to not only my purchases but others I have known and witnessed shopping in the SP Books/Media shops. Very sad as they could do a lot of good.

  • Sooo I think these nuns are awesome, but why oh why do they not let ladies over thirty enter? Can someone answer this question for me?

I do agree though. COuldn't give up good food. I am an awesome cook so maybe if they'd let me get in the Kitchen sometimes and cook for the nuns. Thai curry anyone?

  • The first nun pictured is very bubbly and photogenic; you know, they could make an interesting TV series about nuns-oh, sorry that would take someone with a brain and who was not a pervert.

Guess they have to go outside Hollywood for that.

  • one of those nuns is my auntie :D

  • i hate to break it to you but the hijab veil is not the same thing as a nun's veil. the hijab is used for modesty while the nun's veil is a representation of a wedding veil to signify their spiritual marriage to Jesus. so while they look similar, they are actually worlds apart. not to mention that nuns are consecrated while hijab wearers are not.

THAT being said, i totally agree with you that there shouldn't be a difference in public approval/disapproval.
