A sitcom clip showing the relationship between an (acting) female robot and a male counterpart. Various stereotypical remarks are made and the man plays with the idea of the perfect woman.
I loved this program when I first saw it (I was 12 years old). Back then, it had a fresh, funny premise, and the acting was excellent. Julie Newmar was so beautiful and talented, the perfect choice for a 5'10" robot!
Yes, this is from the pilot episode of "MY LIVING DOLL" (from the producer of "MY FAVORITE MARTIAN"), co-starring Bob Cummings and Julie Newmar [Jack Chertok originally wanted Bob Crane as Julie's co-star, but CBS insisted on Cummings]. Doris Dowling played "Dr. Bob McDonald's" sister, "Irene". It lasted one season, for 26 episodes- the last five co-starring Jack Mullaney, after Bob abruptly quit the show in January 1965. Eleven episodes are supposed to be released on home video early next year.
